Advantages of Composite Decking

Composite decks need less maintenance, are more durable, and generally, stand the test of time far better than their wooden counterparts. They do not splinter, making them a safer option if you have little ones running around outside.

Like any outdoor space, they do require washing from time to time but are much easier to maintain than wood. They are less prone to mold and you do not have to worry about ruining your finish with a pressure washer—making cleaning a breeze.

Composite Decking Costs

In general, this type of decking material is more expensive than wood materials (on average $35 per sq. ft.), but that is just the up-front cost. You actually may end up saving money in the long-run by avoiding most general maintenance costs. Where wood can crack and splinter, composite decking is more resilient to normal wear and tear. Staining, resurfacing, and resealing your deck are a thing of the past.
